Return & Refund Policy – Northern Gas
Effective Date: 18 May 2026
Northern Gas is committed to providing reliable LPG gas products and services to customers throughout the North West Province of South Africa. Please read our return and refund terms carefully before purchasing products from Northern Gas.
1. LPG Gas Products
Due to the nature of LPG gas products and safety regulations, LPG gas products that have been delivered and accepted by the customer are generally not returnable or refundable once used, opened, or tampered with.
2. Cylinder Exchange Returns and Refunds
LPG gas cylinder exchanges may only qualify for a refund or exchange under the following conditions:
- None of the LPG gas has been used
- The original cylinder safety seal remains intact
- The cylinder outlet seal remains sealed and untampered with
- The cylinder is returned in the same condition in which it was delivered
- Return requests must be submitted within 3 calendar days from the date of delivery
- The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return delivery to Northern Gas
Northern Gas reserves the right to inspect all returned cylinders before approving any return, refund, or exchange request.
Any cylinder that:
- Shows signs of use
- Has a broken or removed safety seal
- Has a tampered with, opened, or damaged outlet seal
- Has been damaged after delivery
- Is not returned within the required return period
will not qualify for a refund or exchange.
3. Returns of Other Products
Returns of non-gas products may be accepted within 3 calendar days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
- Products must be unused
- Products must be in their original packaging and condition
- Products must not be damaged
- The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return delivery costs
Northern Gas reserves the right to inspect returned items before approval.
4. Incorrect Orders or Delivery Errors
If Northern Gas delivers an incorrect product, incorrect cylinder size, or if an error occurs due to our mistake, please contact us within 3 calendar days of receiving your order.
Where confirmed, Northern Gas will arrange a replacement or an appropriate refund.
5. Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a damaged product or believe there is a fault or safety concern with a cylinder or product, discontinue use immediately and contact Northern Gas as soon as possible.
Northern Gas may inspect, replace, repair, or provide an appropriate solution where necessary.
6. Restocking Fee and Refund Processing
All approved returns and refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee calculated on the purchase value of the returned product.
Approved refunds:
- Will be processed using the original payment method where possible
- Will be less any applicable 15% restocking fee
- Will exclude delivery fees and return transport charges where applicable
Refund processing may take 5–10 business days, depending on banks and payment providers.
